Vilanculos, Mozambique
I know a very special place,
Overlooking a turquoise sea,
I sit on the beach with the sun on my face,
Feeling so happy and free.
It is such a breathtaking view,
Of the islands and the beach,
The sunset colours have an amazing hue,
and at night the stars are within your reach.
You walk across the bleached sand,
It crunches between your toes
The dhows gliding look so grand
Sails extended as the wind blows.
The palm trees wave their fronds
The breeze lifts my hair
I have formed such happy bonds
In this special place so rare.
The horses walk in the sunset,
I hear a gently neigh,
A scene you can't forget,
A memory that will forever stay.
